Comarch and Pekao S.A. (UniCredit Group) present innovative tablet app
Poland’s first tablet app combined with the Personal Finance Management (PFM) tool is now available for individual customers of Bank Pekao S.A., a member of UniCredit Group. 'Pekao24 na tablety' ('Pekao24 for tablets') not only allows for taking advantage of all major functions of the Pekao24 system, but also equips the user with a number of handy solutions – a new, convenient money transfer form or a graphical representation of key data on held and expended funds.
The purpose of the app, delivered by Comarch, is to provide a growing number of tablet users with convenient access to their Pekao bank accounts as well as prominent support in handling their personal finances.
'"Pekao24 na tablety" is a response both to the growing interest in mobile devices among our customers and the needs of Pekao24 users who increasingly use tablets to bank with us. Together with the release of the app we are expanding the range of modern services of Bank Pekao. The customer can now enjoy online banking the way they like most: on their desktops, smartphones or tablets, receiving in each case a set of products and features that best suit the chosen device. What distinguishes "Pekao24 na tablety" is the expense analysis feature whose aim is to help our customers manage their home budgets and clearly show them what they spend money on’, says Rafał Witczak, Director of Online Banking Department at Bank Pekao S.A.
The solution has been designed for maximum user comfort. The amount of information necessary for making money transfers or credit card repayments is minimal, thanks to which these operations are performed noticeably faster compared to the ones in similar tablet-based mobile solutions available on the Polish market. 'Navigation within the app is significantly enhanced by an innovative graphical menu with a symbol and summary of accounts, cards, loans or deposits owned by the customer', emphasizes Marcin Kinderman, UX /UI Director at Comarch.
Graphical summaries of expenses incurred within the recent day, week or month and their categorization due to the analysis performed by the PFM tool allow in turn to provide users with valuable clues as to money management.
'This implementation is a very good example of the Agile methodology, or the project management based on rapid adaptation to the client’s evolving needs and requirements throughout the duration of the works. The latter were then executed in phases, starting from business goals and the design of information architecture through to selection of graphics and coding. In addition, the system was regularly subjected to usability tests', indicates Sławomir Gierek, Online Banking Director at Comarch. ‘Projects run this way fit well with the strategy of innovation-oriented banks aiming to introduce new technological trends quickly and effectively', concludes the expert.
