AI ethics and digital trust at the heart of the B20
“Digital technology has fundamentally changed how people live, work, and interact with each other and with their environment, and this trend is on track to accelerate in the coming years. Despite the rapid pace of technological disruption, it has yet to effectively integrate a large portion of the population to address critical real-world issues”* - explain members of the B20 Working Groups - authors of an executive communiqué with policy recommendations for the G20.

The Digital Transformation Task Force, of which Wojciech Pawlus is a member, has developed recommendations for the G20 that focus on achieving connectivity, fostering digital trust, and the responsible use of the of artificial intelligence’s transformative power.

"Comarch, as one of the few European IT companies, has been invited to participate in the B20 Summit. Our involvement in the Digital Transformation Task Force provides an opportunity to collaborate with global economic leaders, enabling Comarch to better tailor our solutions to the challenges of digital transformation faced by both companies and markets," explains Wojciech Pawluś, Vice President of the Management Board and Director of International Sales at Comarch.

Inclusivity, Social Integration, and Innovation: Comarch in B20 Task Forces

Comarch's Participation in B20
For several years, Comarch has been actively involved in the work related to the B20 summit, one of the key groups engaged in the activities of the G20. In 2022, during the B20 Summit in Indonesia, Professor Janusz Filipiak, then-CEO of Comarch. At the time, he highlighted the issue of autonomous economies in the global market.
„Even a local company in Poland feels the effects of globalization. The global economy is, in many ways, a system of interconnected vessels-economies of individual countries" - commented Professor Janusz Filipiak.
In 2023, Comarch was invited to participate in several months of substantive work focused on digital transformation as part of the B20 Summit in India. Comarch's Vice President, Andrzej Przewięźlikowski, summarized:
"Participation in B20 is an excellent opportunity for Comarch to gain deeper insights into the challenges of today's global economy, of which we have been a part for 30 years" - he explained.
The intensive, months-long work of B20 working groups, involving around 1,000 business representatives, has now concluded. The outcome is a document containing recommendations for G20 leaders, which will be officially presented at the Summit in São Paulo, scheduled for October 24-25.
