Comarch beacons will turn the Munich shopping night into a night of smart trade
300 Comarch beacons and the Munich City App mobile application designed by Comarch will accompany customers during a cultural and shopping night – the ninth edition of “Kult(ur)-Nacht.” Comarch, the producer of this software, is a technological partner of the event, to be held on September 11, 2015, in the city of Munich.
100 stores and around 200 thousand participant are expected to turn up for the event. During the ninth edition, stores, from very small retail outlets to the largest shopping malls, to bars and places of cultural interest will be open during night hours. Well-known brands such as BMW, Tom Tailor, or Lacoste will use Comarch beacons and the integrated Munich City App.
“For us this is the first opportunity to install such a great number of transmitters. We will be able to demonstrate that our technology is user-friendly and can bring a lot of benefits. Stores taking part in the event will receive the devices and applications for trial use free of charge. We hope that most of them will choose to use our beacons in the future,” says Philipp Erdkönig, Director of the ERP Business Development Center for the DACH market, Comarch.
For the needs of the Munich event , Comarch has launched a dedicated application with a new name: Munich City App. Thanks to this software, local residents and tourists will receive real-time notifications about upcoming events in Munich. Using the application is secure (it does not collect user data) and is free of charge. Users just need to download Munich City App on their smartphones and it will, thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, send them current sales and cultural offers available nearby.
The application is compatible with all devices with Android and Apple (with iOS 8 or later, and Android 4.3 or later). The Munich Smart City is available for free in Google Play and Apple Store: link.
