Comarch CEO on Deregulation in the IT Sector – Interview for tvn24.pl

Jarosław Mikos, CEO of Comarch S.A., gave an interview to the portal tvn24.pl, in which he discussed key issues related to the potential deregulation of the IT sector. He emphasized that excessive regulations could lead to an outflow of top talent from Poland and Europe, negatively impacting the industry's competitiveness.

AI Regulation – With Caution and Reason
We are one of the largest IT enterprises in the Polish market, and we fear overregulation in the field of artificial intelligence, said the CEO. AI is such a massive revolution that it can be compared to Gutenberg’s revolution. It has enormous business significance in terms of efficiency.

He also pointed out that artificial intelligence can significantly support entrepreneurs in their daily operations, such as customer interactions, process automation, and business operation improvements.

National e-Invoicing System
Jarosław Mikos also addressed the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF), emphasizing its importance for the economy and leveling the playing field in the market.

Comarch is a strong advocate of the National e-Invoicing System, and we believe that KSeF should be made mandatory as soon as possible, as it equalizes opportunities for everyone, allows entrepreneurs to be more transparent in this regard, and compete on equal terms. This, in turn, stimulates innovation, diligence, and transparency in business operations.

Cybersecurity as a Priority
He also highlighted the growing role of cybersecurity in the context of ongoing digitalization and the implementation of new technologies.

At Comarch, we understand what cybersecurity means - that is, IT security, the security of our personal data, but also security related to ensuring that we are not susceptible to manipulation, false, and harmful messaging. The European Union has expressed concern in this area.
We should demonstrate greater courage here, invest in cybersecurity, but at the same time, we must take great care to maintain the possibility of innovative development in artificial intelligence, products for our clients, and improving business efficiency - he said.
