Comarch presented with 2016 Title of the Employer of Tomorrow
For the fourth time, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) has presented the title of the Employer of Tomorrow to entrepreneurs who successfully implement educational undertakings focused on people who are preparing themselves to enter the labour market. By a decision of the competition's chapter Comarch has become one of the laureates.
For many years Comarch has been cooperating with secondary schools and universities taking part in job fairs, open days, and organising study visits, lectures, and workshops. A broad range of activities enhancing dialogue between businesses and education has been appreciated by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development that has presented Comarch with the title of the Employer of Tomorrow.
A flagship project of the company is a programme of student internship, one of the greatest internship programmes in this part of Europe. Until today, 14 editions have been held during which 3,150 trainees took their first steps on their career path with Comarch. Currently, internship offers are not addressed only to IT students. The programme has been enriched with an economic profile within the Competence Academy and Industrial Design. After completion of the internship about 70% of the programme participants are offered jobs in the company. Now, many of Comarch’s employees who started their career in this way hold top-level positions in the company. This year, 300 students have completed the internship, of whom 220 have taken up a longer cooperation with Comarch. The figures show that the programme is very popular among young people since more than 3,300 persons have applied to participate in this year’s edition of the internship (i.e. 11 persons per one place).
Comarch also runs education and development academies attended by students from the largest Polish universities. For instance, the “Optimal Start” project which – free of charge – gives students an opportunity to gain qualifications enabling independent work with modern software, i.e. Comarch ERP Optima. An initiative of meetings called Space4Tech was launched this autumn. It is addressed to experienced specialists with whom Comarch’s employees share their expert knowledge.
For many years the company has actively cooperated with schools, universities, and other educational establishments including: AGH Technical University of Science and Technology, Wrocław University of Technology, Silesian University of Technology, Cracow University of Technology and University of Economics in Kraków. Comarch’s employees provide expert support to various projects, competitions, workshops, and scientific conferences.
