Comarch supports the Polish Museum in Switzerland's Rapperswil

Comarch will financially back the Polish Museum in the town of Rapperswil in Switzerland. It is one of the oldest Polish museums the collections of which include paintings, medals, old maps, sculptures, and military items that relate to the Polish culture and history.

The Museum was established over 140 years ago and is located in the 13th century Rapperswil Castle. It was founded by Count Władysław Plater and played a major role in the cultural life of the Polish emigration and the movement for national independence.

Presently, the rooms of the castle display numerous treasures of culture, as well as the items of a religious worship, historic paintings, and documents of historic importance.

The Polish Museum in the Rapperswil Castle overlooking Lake Zürich is a continuation of the Polish National Museum founded in 1870 by Polish emigrants. The exhibition presents a collection of Polish paintings, including works by Munich School, 18th century miniatures, a collection of snuff boxes with cavalry motifs, memorabilia after Maria Skłodowska-Curie, Ignacy Paderewski, Frederic Chopin, and a collection of old prints. The collection also includes paintings by Józef Brandt, Józef Chełmoński, Teodor Axentowicz, Jacek Malczewski, medals, old maps, sculptures, and military items. There are also historic memorabilia, including those relating to the soldiers of the 2nd Rifle Division who were interned in Switzerland during World War II.
