Full product range for medium-sized businesses
Munich, 28 January 2011 – Comarch will be showcasing its comprehensive portfolio of solutions for medium-sized companies at CeBIT 2011 from 1 to 5 March in Hanover. The portfolio contains a bevy of new ERP, DMS/ECM, EDI and IT infrastructure features. These include a new App-Center for ERP extensions, multi-channel functionality for retailers, a platform-independent DMS/ECM solution with integrated workflow modules, plus EDI and IT infrastructure solutions provided as cloud services.
Comarch Semiramis: App-Center, partner dashboards and smart phones
The Semiramis App-Center offers new scope for expanding existing installations of the Comarch Semiramis ERP system. Customers can learn about new functions, extensions and frameworks on the online portal and begin the process of implementing those solutions. The product portfolio ranges from functional extensions, such as the option of managing grocery declarations using add-ons, to integrating computer and telephone systems, right through to complex applications such as contract management or service and maintenance. The new Semiramis partner dashboard will also be on show at CeBIT 2011: information about customers, suppliers and both internal and external partners can be displayed using screens that can be fully customised. The range of information extracted from master data, transaction data and business intelligence can be managed using filter functions and selection criteria. CeBIT 2011 will also be an opportunity to demonstrate how the information can be displayed on smart phones. The display can then be used to update information, make calls or generate e-mails. At the moment, the dashboard supports iPhones and Android smart phones.

Comarch Altum optimises multi-channel sales
The presentations linked to the Comarch Altum ERP system at CeBIT 2011 will focus primarily on a sector-specific solution for retail which allows the user to manage all distribution channels centrally whilst optimising internal processes and supplier relationships. The multi-channel functionality means that all the different distribution channels used by a merchant – wholesale, retail, e-commerce – can be managed in a single integrated system. Central management of product lines, pricing policy and contracts makes for incredibly efficient processes. The integrated business intelligence solution brings together up-to-date information from all distribution channels: reports and analyses can be used to optimise use of different distribution channels. The sector-specific solution also includes an integrated POS system, e-shop, Amazon and eBay integration, a mobile sales solution and a B2B portal for transactions involving commercial partners.
InfoStore: platform-independent and focused on processes
Launched last year, Release 10 of the InfoStore ECM document management system contains a whole new client module offering cutting-edge ergonomics. The new, platform-independent InfoStore (IBM System i, Microsoft Windows and Linux) will be on view at CeBIT 2011. It includes an integrated workflow module that can be used to view and streamline administrative processes in modern online applications. All the functions can be operated using a web browser – from the design and integration of business processes to simulations, testing and documentation of workflow applications through to administration and day-to-day use by users.
EDI as a Service
Instead of costly software rollouts which require constant updates, why not make use of Comarch's EDI (electronic data interchange) services for business documents? This solution makes EDI far more appealing for SMEs. Amongst other things, Comarch ECOD can help you to improve supplier evaluations and competitiveness. Unlike in-house solutions, there is no need to use internal resources, thereby eliminating high investment costs and fixed running costs.
Infrastructure as a Service
As a complete IT provider, Comarch takes charge of entire processes, which includes providing comprehensive data centre services. As well as offering ERP and EDI services, Comarch can also provide cloud services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Service features include almost-instant availability of hardware resources (from a wide range of manufacturers) and a choice of capacities and contract terms, starting from as little as one month. The Platform as a Service product offers computer platforms running your choice of operating system (Windows, Red Hat, Solaris, etc.) and an extensive range of databases (IBM DB2, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, etc.). All the administration is dealt with by Comarch.
Comarch will also be showcasing data storage, reliability and virtualisation solutions specially designed for the IBM System i in Hanover. One highlight is the Office solution hosted centrally on an System i server, which gives all users in a company access to Microsoft Office applications that run as local applications on their PCs but are administered centrally. This solution was developed and tested in Comarch's Innovation Center in Munich.
The Comarch stand will also be demonstrating the full range of software product lines based on IBM's System i: the Comarch SoftM ERP product suite, Comarch Schilling and Comarch DKS accounting systems, and TOPAS HR software. The Comarch SoftM product suite includes new business intelligence cockpits for the sales and purchasing segments, together with new multisite functionalities which allow several companies in one group to work together. New additional features are available under the label Comarch SoftM Suite Office Plus, such as "Enter in Excel" and "Financial plan".
