Polish-German Economic Award 2015 goes to Comarch

Dresden, Dec 12, 2015 – Software specialist Comarch receives a prestigious Polish-German Economic Award as a German company with Polish roots. The award was presented by Martin Dulig, Saxon Minister of State of Economy, Labor, and Transport, on December 2 as part of the events surrounding the 11th Polish-Saxon Economic Forum in Dresden.

Comarch has eight locations in Germany and operates two of its data centers here. The data center at the German headquarters in Dresden went online in 2013. The award winner was chosen from a shortlist focused heavily on IT companies, due to a recommendation from the Saxony Economic Development Corporation in keeping with the theme of this year’s Economic Forum, “IT – The Key to Development". The Polish-German Economic Award was established in 2009 and has since been sponsored by German Federal Ministers of Economics Rainer Brüderle and Philipp Rösler, among others.
 
The award aims to honor and support Polish-German cooperation on multiple levels from economy to sciences and social issues.
