Polish software house Comarch opens an office in Spain - España, ole!

Comarch, a software house and system integrator, is strengthening its business structure on the Iberian Peninsula by opening a branch in Madrid. The market dynamics and economic potential of Spain, as well as growing interest in Comarch systems in the region are the main factors that stand behind the decision. Additionally, strengthening the company’s presence in Spain provides an excellent foothold to expand into the markets of South America. Comarch has already realized projects for Spanish clients that include BP and the Telefónica Group.

The economy is expanding, the GDP (gross domestic product) growth forecasts are higher than previously expected, and the unemployment rate is beginning to fall. Spanish domestic market is attractive, and additionally, a number of global firms have their headquarters located in Spain. Comarch in Spain is looking towards the banks and the telecoms industry

The Madrid office has employed experts specialized in presales and sales. The company is focused on attracting customers from the financial and telecommunications sectors as well as from the trade and services industry. Comarch would like to have a chance to implement banking solutions for both retail and corporate sectors, including mobile applications for personal finance management (PFM), among others. Comarch OSS and BSS dedicated to telecom operators are also very likely to find buyers.

The gateway to South America

Spain is strategically important for Comarch. In addition, it is closely associated commercially with South America. Obtaining contracts for IT implementations in the headquarters of Spanish companies provides a chance to continue the projects in their subsidiaries in South America.

Recently Telefónica selected Comarch as the recommended supplier of IT solutions for configuration and network planning for Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany and Peru.
