The Comarch NFV product enables telecoms to step into the modern era of virtualization and build networks with software-based elements. It offers management of logical network functions independently of the hosting hardware and allows full stack modelling, management and provisioning of virtualized network elements, starting at the level of physical devices through virtual machines/containers and VNF instances, up to the specialized network components and network services.
Comarch OSS allows the design of end-to-end network topologies that combine legacy PNF components with modern VNFs. Instantiation of the network functions utilizes flexible templating, accelerating the time to market by reusing existing designs and functional blocks. With Comarch orchestration features, the designs can be quickly implemented in the real network in a fully automatic, model-driven process.
Comarch’s NFV solution is standard-based and compliant with recognized providers such as ETSI, 3GPP, and GSMA. The core component of the NFV management module is capable of onboarding descriptor files and deployment packages (VNF and Network Service packages). The descriptors and packages are supported in TOSCA-compliant (SOL001, SOL004) and vendor-specific formats.
We offer our product to customers with bidirectional integration with the NFVO. The supported API is based on ETSI’s SOL002, SOL003, and SOL005 standards. Thanks to that, Comarch OSS is able to conduct automated network function provisioning tasks and deliver a real-time network inventory experience to the end users by constantly monitoring the NFVO status.
