Bavaria to Launch Centralized Platform for E-Invoicing Exchange

Bavaria is set to streamline its e-invoicing process with the introduction of a centralized platform in 2025. Since 2020, public entities in the state have been receiving e-invoices in a decentralized manner, either via email or on paper.
Starting in the first half of 2025, a single point of contact will be implemented, simplifying the process and speeding up invoice processing.
The chosen platform, OZG-RE, is already in use in several German states, including Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Saxony, and Thuringia. OZG-RE supports various invoicing methods, including web capture, email uploads, and Peppol sending. This new initiative aims to reduce processing times, improve efficiency, and make e-invoicing more user-friendly for businesses and public entities alike.
