Meet Spenn – a New Digital Loyalty Currency Supported by Comarch

Spenn, operated by Spenn Group AS, is the new Nordic loyalty currency. It was formed through a partnership between Norwegian, a leading low-cost airline in the Nordic region, and Strawberry, a Nordic-based hotel and hospitality company. The new digital loyalty currency was launched on Comarch’s loyalty software, Comarch Loyalty Management. 

The goal of Spenn is to provide users in the Nordic area with an opportunity to boost their reward earnings and redemption to get the most out of their loyalty program membership. Spenn can be earned and spent seamlessly on a wide range of services, including flights, hotel stays, plane seat reservations, and priority boarding. This way, Spenn challenges existing loyalty programs by offering greater flexibility and choice for members compared to current market options.

To start using the digital loyalty currency, Norwegian Rewards and Strawberry members need to download the Spenn app, link their existing Norwegian and Strawberry membership accounts. The currency can then freely be earned and redeemed across both partners. The value of Spenn depends on what a passenger chooses to spend it on and the special offers available. 

Although the initiative is now limited to Norwegian and Strawberry’s services, Spenn Group plans to expand with new partners across the Nordic region in the future.
