Oracle 19c database administration

Oracle Database Server
    Duration
    Start hour
    Level

      Oracle 19c database administration

The training will enable the acquisition of skills for monitoring server health and databases. Skills acquired during the training also includes server configuration management database schemas and users, as well as the current performance of administrative tasks. Practical exercises will be carried out on MS Windows.

      Training objectives

Participants will learn about the structure of the Oracle server, principles of instance architecture and data organization in databases. Knowledge includes the issues of the impact of database storage structures, schemas and server configuration to its proper work. The participant will gain knowledge of safety rules in the databases and the practical ability to configure access management and Oracle Network Environment configuration.

      Skills

After completing the course, participants will know how to:

      • modify the relevant instance, database and session parameters
      • start, stop and restart the server
      • design and create a new database
      • prepare parameters file
      • create and manage users
      • grant and revoke the roles and privileges
      • manage schema objects and their parameters
      • manage tablespaces
      • use Flashback mechanisms to recover data
      • monitor database on different levels
      • configure the listener
      • create a database link and use remote query
      Audience profile

This course is for database administrators.

      Requirements

The training can be useful also for developers implementing databases and database applications who – by understanding the principles of operation of the server – will be able to better use its potential.

      Training delivery method

The training is carried out in the form of theoretical part in the form of mini lectures and the practical part in the form of computer exercises.
